How to make your own Pizza Dough
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cup Warm water
- 2 packets Active dry yeast
- 2 tsp. Granulated sugar
- ¼ cup Extra virgin olive oil, plus more for bowl and drizzling
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 4 cups All-purpose flour, plus more for work surface
Directions:
- In a large bowl, pour the water and sprinkle with yeast. Leave to stand until foamy for about 5 minutes.
- Whisk in the sugar, oil and salt.
- Add flour and stir until a sticky dough forms.
- In another bowl, lightly brush it with a little olive oil.
- Place the dough inside, drizzle a little oil over the top and cover with plastic wrap. Set bowl aside in a warm place until the dough has doubled in size, +- 1 hour.
- Place the dough on a lightly floured flat surface. Gently knead 1 or 2 times and let rest for 10 more minutes.
- Use or store as is for 1 large pizza, or divide into 4 equal portions for smaller pizzas.
